Difference between as and like.

Hi,

Please tell me the difference between as and like.

What is difference between the 2 below mentioned sentences?

You can not swim as me and You can not swim like me.

to be treated

Hello all,

pls help, which is correct:

1) He was treated with aspyrin.
2) He was treated by aspyrin.

I think that the second sentence could be correct, because
I suppose that you can be treated by a doctor with a medicament. but I am not sure as I have found also sentences with "with" on the internet.

By the way, does anybody know a good online English dictionary specialized at prepositions? Prepositions are a source of my greatest trouble:-(

Could you please help me with the following:

When can the noun "need" be used with the preposisitions "of" and "for":

1) need of
2) need for

For instance:

Which of the following would be correct:

1)The need of surgery...
or
2)The need for surgery...

I should have taken

Hello all,

Please, help me to figure out the right way for using this grammar construction.

1. It is raining, I should have taken an umbrella.
2. The sun is shining brightly, I should have not taken an umbrella.

Is the second sentence correct? Thanks in advance.

plural of hundred, thousand etc.

In common language we some times use "hundreds of" or "thousands of". I am confuse on this issue that "can we use plural of hundred and thousand like this" plz tell me is it right or wrong.
