I sow (have seen) in a reading of the site and in many other situations these kind of grammar structure:
A)They are close "to making" an arrest.
Do you think it is possible to use "to make" in the place of "to making" or there is a subtle difference between the two cases?
For instance whilst talking I used a sentence like:
B)It allows the "built up" of ....
Is it correct or I should say "the building up"?
Thanks!

Hi.
I need your help. Can anybody help me?
I don't know if I can use singular or plural in word 'information'
So... what is correct?
And these are some informations about them.
And this is some information about them.
Thank you very much
Ekaterina
He can get married if he wants to.
Why is in the end word 'to'?
'He can get married if he wants' is not correct?
Can you help me, please?
1)2 hour flight
2)2 hours flight
Are the above sentences both correct or only the first one is correct?
A system is a set of components "arranged to a specific design" in order to achieve desired functions with acceptable performance.
Why in the sentence the preposition -"to" is used after the verb arrange? What is the rationale behind? Maybe a verb is omitted between "to" and " a specific design". If yes, which could be the verb?
Present continuous / present simple:
I hear you've got a new job. How "do" you "get" on? ___________
The verbs between " ... " are maybe wrong and I have to correct them.
But I don't unterstand the sentence and on this reason its difficult to
correct.
The first part of the Sentence means that the person have a new job.
But the second ... ??
How have you get the job ?
How have you startet the job ?
I'm little bit confused about this ( get on ) construction.
Thanks for help.

My questions are as follows:
a)What does the rule says?
b)Is the "'s" always mandatory?
c)What's the rule denomination?
Thanks for your answers. Bye bye.
