Cellophane: A see-through material used to wrap food.
We all sometimes feel like we need more attention, but this character from Chicago feels completely invisible! Read through the lyrics to the song and see if you can guess which word goes in each gap, then listen and check your answers. Do you relate to the singer, or do you think he is just complaining about nothing?
PS: Chicago was made into a movie in 2002, perhaps you could rent it, listen to some more songs from the musical and practise your English!

Can't hear the song? Try here
If someone stood up in a _1_
And raised his _2_ up way out loud
And waved his arm and shook his leg
 You'd notice him
If someone in the _3_ show
Yelled "Fire in the second row
This whole place is a powder keg!"
 You'd notice him
And even without clucking like a hen
_4_ gets noticed, now and then,
Unless, of course, that personage should be
 _5_, inconsequential me!
Cellophane
   Mister Cellophane
   Shoulda been my name
   Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
   Walk right by me
 And never know I'm there...
I tell ya
   Cellophane
   Mister Cellophane
   Shoulda been my name
   Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
   Walk right by me
   And never know I'm there...
Suppose you was a little cat
   Residing in a person's flat
Who fed you _6_ and scratched your ears?
   You'd notice him
Suppose you was a woman, wed
And _7_ in a double bed
Beside one man, for seven years
 You'd notice him
A _8_ being's made of more than air
With all that bulk, you're bound to see him there
Unless that human being next to you
   Is _9_, undistinguished
 You know who...
What are the nine missing words?
